For today’s blog, Cashier Myricks shares with people who have to travel but have plans to some of the best tips when going on the first big adventure.  As an added note, even with travel extremely hampered by the global health crisis, Cashier Myricks believes that very soon, everything will back to normal and people will get to go places again.

Now, first travelers may find their first trip, especially if they’re on their own, quite daunting, and they may come up with all the excuses in the world to not go through with.  But Cashier Myricks urges them to soldier on because it’ll be more than worth it.

On that note, below are two important travel tips as shared by veteran travelers.

Travelers should always do their research, especially if they’ll be traveling for the first time.

Cashier Myricks notes that while some travelers go on a trip on a whim, packing their bags, buying a ticket, and boarding a plane in a span of a few hours, he doesn’t recommend that to first-time travelers.

For first-time travelers, months before booking that flight, they should already have a clear picture of the area they are visiting.  They know important factors of the area, such as safety and security, the price range of food establishments, condition of public transportation, tourist locations, weather conditions, current events, and the like.

First-time travelers should keep a list of all the important budget hacks.

Over the years, Cashier Myricks himself has learned some important budget hacks from experienced travelers.  He cites a number of examples such as never changing currency in money changers at the airports because they have the worst exchange rates; never taking taxi cabs unless it is an emergency, or more than two people will be sharing the fare; and, as much as possible, never buying food near tourist locations.

Knowing these budget hacks and more can save a traveler hundreds, maybe even thousands of dollars, in expenses – dollars that can be used for their next great adventure, Cashier Myricks adds.
